HEATHER PALMER

Hi! My name is Heather Palmer.  I hold a California Teaching Credential and a Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Development.  I have been teaching for 24 years and the last 20 years I have been working with Pre-K students preparing them for Kindergarten. I have felt all my life I was called and given the gift to be a teacher. My love for working with young children and giving them the skills to be successful in their future learning is fulfilling. In my free time, I enjoy gardening and being out in nature. I am creative and like to sing.

 

ANDREA ESPARZA

Hi! I'm Ms. Andrea!  I feel blessed and excited to begin this learning experience with all of you!  I have lived in San Diego for 10 years now, and I have never been happier! Before working at CCA, I worked as a Montessori guide for 4 years, and since high school I have volunteered in different children related organizations. Since I was very young, I realized working with and for children was what I wanted to do. I truly believe that our work as teachers can help make the world a better place along with helping  parents  to raise healthy, happy, and smart children. I thank God everyday for putting me in a place where I feel so welcomed and where I can truly feel His presence at CCA.

PK-4 Curriculum

Our carefully crafted Abeka curriculum provides a holistic approach to nurturing children's development. Our program for four-year-olds is designed to enhance their social skills, emotional intelligence, and academic abilities, creating an enriching educational experience that fosters their overall growth and well-being. 

DAILY SCHEDULE: 4-YEAR OLD CLASSROOM

6:30 am-7:50 am: Free play in the classroom
7:50 am-8:00 am: Clean up
8:00 am- 8:15 am: Circle Time Bible Songs
8:15 am- 9:00 am: Circle Time
9:00 am- 9:20 am: Snack
9:20 am- 10:45 am: Seat Work/Inside play
10:45 am- 11:05 am: Spanish/Music & Movement
11:05 am- 11:50 pm: Outside Play
11:50 pm- 12:20 pm: Lunch
12:20 pm- 12:30 pm: Bathroom break/Wash hands
12:30 pm- 2:30 pm: Nap time
2:30 pm- 2:45 pm: Bathroom break/Clean-up of mats
2:45 pm- 3:00 pm: Snack
3:00 pm- 4:00 pm: Outside play
4:00 pm- 6:00 pm: Indoor activities
