PK-3 Lead TeacherS

VIVI GUTIERREZ

Hello my name is Viviana, but please call me Ms. Vivi! I’ve had the pleasure working at CCA for 3 years now. In 2022 I graduated college and obtained my associates degree in child development as well as received my Level 1 and Level 2 teacher certifications alongside my degree. I thank God everyday on helping me get where I am with my education and knowledge on early childhood education.

ALBA VERDUZCO

Hello! My name is Alba Verduzco and I am your Lead Teacher in PK3b. I began teaching in 2004 and came to CCA in 2014. The following year, I accepted a position as Lead Teacher. I have an associate’s degree in Child Development, and an associate’s degree in Arts and Liberal Studies, as well as my Teaching Certificate. I am a native San Diegan, proud of my Mexican heritage, and believe that every cultural background deserves to be celebrated! I enjoy singing and good coffee (café de la olla is king), and I am convinced that dogs are a gift from God. Most importantly, I love Jesus with my whole heart; my husband and our dogs are a close second .

NATASHA MIRANDA

Hello my name is Natasha Miranda. I have been blessed to work in a Christian school and teach preschool. I began teaching in 2002 and have taught for 22 years. This is my seventh year working here at CCA. I majored in Child Development and have 36 Early Education Units. I am also blessed to be a wife and Mother. My wonderful children have grown up and the youngest is 24 now. It is a blessing and a privilege to work with your beautiful families and be a part of helping to raise your children. It is my greatest joy to have the opportunity to share the love of Christ with our youth and raise them up to be healthy individuals with positive self-esteem. I love Jesus, my family, and nature. I believe children truly are a blessing from God and I am thankful for them everyday.

PK-3 Curriculum

The three-year-old curriculum strongly emphasizes literacy. The Abeka curriculum introduces children to letters through engaging character songs and literacy activities. The curriculum also focuses on developing children's creativity, hand-eye coordination, and concentration through art and play. Additionally, the TouchMath program helps reinforce shapes, patterns, and counting through one-on-one correspondence and manipulatives. The curriculum aims to nurture the child's social, emotional, and academic development.
